Overview of the role

As a Teacher of PE, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching that inspires students to develop a lifelong appreciation of physical activity, sport and healthy lifestyles. You will support students to thrive both academically and personally while contributing to the continued success of our PE department.

You will:

• Deliver engaging and challenging PE lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
• Monitor student progress and use assessment effectively to secure strong outcomes.
• Create a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment.
• Contribute to our extensive extra-curricular sports programme.
• Support students as both a subject teacher and Learning Mentor, helping them to thrive in learning and life.
• Build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Teach a second subject where required.

The right candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A degree or relevant qualification in Physical Education, Sports Science or a related subject.
• A passion for delivering outstanding PE lessons and achieving excellent outcomes for students.
• A commitment to developing young people through sport, physical activity and enrichment opportunities.
• The ability to build positive and productive relationships with young people and adults.
• Strong organisational, communication and ICT skills.
• Flexibility, resilience and a willingness to contribute fully to academy life.
